How the MES 6000 Works
How the MES 6000 Works
The illustrations below show how the MES 6000 achieve what no other marine air conditioner can do....Save your battery power!!
The whole idea behind the MES 6000 and MES 4000 is to reduce power consumption and to give you longer run times from your batteries. Cruise N Comfort USA does this by using the included thermostat to control the multiple Danfoss compressors. As the unit reaches the desired temperature the thermostat tells the controller board to turn the compressors off one by one until the desired temperature is reached. Then as the cabin warms up the compressors turn on one by one until the cabin temperature does not continue to rise and reaches your set temperature. Pretty smart .... we think so too.
At about 4 degrees or more above the set temperature the air conditioner uses 3 compressors and a high blower setting to cool your cabin
At about 2 degrees above the set temperature, the air conditioner uses 2 compressors and a medium blower setting to cool your cabin
At about 1 degrees above the set temperature, the air conditioner uses 1 compressor and a low blower setting to cool your cabin until it reaches the set temperature then it shuts the last compressor off, the water circulation pump off and leaves the blower on the low setting to keep the air flowing in the cabin.(about 3 amps of current draw)
For long night stays you can set the unit to low and it will lock out all compressors except one and draw an average of 18 amps. The unit will still turn the last compressor off on this setting if it reaches the desired set temperature.
